1. Information We Collect

When you use TruBible, we collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you register directly, or your name, email, and profile picture when you sign in with Google.
  • Team data: team names, descriptions, logos and branding, events, schedules, glossary terms, and the settings you create.
  • Live audio: the host's voice audio streamed during live events, which is processed in real time for transcription and translation.
  • Recordings and transcripts (if enabled): when an event has recording or transcripts turned on (the default; hosts can turn each off per event), we store the sermon audio recording and the original and translated transcripts in the team's sermon library.
  • Voice samples (if used): when a team creates an AI voice clone, we store the recorded voice sample and the resulting voice model.
  • Screen sharing (if used): images of shared slides, processed to translate their text for listeners and kept only temporarily.
  • Guest and listener information: when a team asks guests to sign in, the name, email address, and phone number they provide; and, for every listener, the chosen language and when they joined and left a session. Listeners do not need an account.
  • Usage data: translation time per language, used for quotas and billing.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers; we keep payment amounts, dates, and Stripe references for accounting.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide real-time voice and text translation to listeners.
  • To manage your account, teams, events, and the features you enable (recordings, transcripts, sermon notes, podcasts, video uploads, voice cloning, guest engagement).
  • To send messages on a team's behalf when the team turns them on, such as transcript emails, event reminders, and welcome messages to guests who provided their contact details.
  • To show teams attendance and usage analytics for their own events.
  • To track usage against plan allowances, process payments, and prevent abuse.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security (for example, password reset links), and service updates.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Audio Processing

During a live event, host audio is streamed over encrypted connections to our speech-to-text provider, the resulting text is translated by large language models, and translated speech is generated by our text-to-speech providers and streamed to listeners. These providers process the content only to deliver the Service.

Live translated audio is streamed to listeners and is not saved. If an event has recording enabled, TruBible stores the original sermon audio; if transcripts are enabled, we store the original and translated text. Teams control these settings per event and choose whether recordings are public in their sermon library, published as podcasts, or uploaded to their own YouTube channel.

AI voice cloning (available on the paid plan) stores a voice sample and sends it to our voice-cloning provider to create a voice model. Teams must have the speaker's permission before creating a voice clone.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers, each of which processes data only as needed to provide its part of the Service:

  • Google: sign-in (OAuth) and, if a team connects it, YouTube uploads. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe: payment processing and subscriptions. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Soniox: real-time speech-to-text and some text-to-speech voices.
  • OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: translation, transcript formatting, sermon notes, Bible verse detection, and slide translation.
  • MiniMax and Inworld: text-to-speech voices.
  • Fish Audio: AI voice cloning, when a team uses it.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) and Twilio: email and SMS delivery for account emails and the messages teams choose to send.
  • Planning Center: only if a team connects it.
  • Cloudflare: network delivery and protection for our website.

5. Data Retention

Account and team data, recordings, transcripts, guest information, and voice models are kept while the team's account is active, until the team deletes them, or until you ask us to delete them. Temporary data such as shared-screen images and password reset links is deleted automatically. Billing records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or the deletion of your account and its data, by contacting us at [email protected]. Guests who gave their details to a church can ask that church or us to remove them.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, single-use expiring password reset links, token-based authentication, role-based access for team members, and restricted access to administrative tools. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant provider.

7. Cookies

TruBible uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as night mode and text size, and a single functional cookie (lang) to remember your interface language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages.

8. Children's Privacy

TruBible is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website.
